About Me and My Work!

Hello, I'm Brianna! I am a twenty year old student at the University of Manitoba, and I am taking a course on Women and Religion. As a final assignment in this course, I am required to create a digital project of my choosing. I chose to do my project on the topic of virginity and how it tends to have negative affects in society (today and in the past), because it is extremely relevant to young women and girls in todays day.

The concepts of both celibacy and virginity seem to be rooted in religion, and I am taking it upon myself to explore where exactly they originated from, and why. The research question I have developed to guide my research is "How is the developed concepts of virginity by early Christian's potentially harmful to women and girls, both in the past and present".
